Jon House is the military and veterans liaison from Congresswoman Clark's office. He will be holding office hours at MetroWest Veterans' Services, 1750 Washington St, Holliston, MA, Jon's office hours will be the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1pm in our conference room.

Veterans' Professional Development Day

The Veterans Upward Bound program is having a FREE Veterans Professional Development for Job Searchers workshop. Veterans Upward Bound is a federally funded program housed at Suffolk University. VUB is designed to motivate and prepare Veterans in the development of academic and other skills needed to obtain a degree, certification, and/or license in their career field of choice. This workshop will cover the specific areas any job searcher needs to consider whether or not they are actively looking for a job.

The event is being held on Saturday May 11th at Suffolk University, 73 Tremont Street 7th floor, Boston. Lunch will be provided.

11th Annual Women Veterans Network Conference

The Women Veterans' Network will be hosting their annual conference on June 15th, 2019. It will be held at the Town Square Hotel at 2 Boland Way in Springfield, MA 01115.

Brigadier General Donald Bolduc '86 To Speak at Dean College

Brigadier General Donald Bolduc '86, retired, US Army, will be speaking at Dean College on March 20th. The event begins at 6:30pm and includes a dinner with students and sponsors and culminating in an evening lecture to the general public, business and community leaders. The address is 109 W. Central St, Franklin, MA. The event is free but registration is required.

2018 Veterans' Day Events

Holliston:  On Saturday Nov 10th  the Holliston American Legion, Lion’s Club and VFW Post 8507 will host the Veterans’ Day parade starting at Blair Square at 10:30 AM with a rifle salute and TAPS, then a short march at 10:45 AM to Memorial Square (Washington and Hollis Streets) for another salute and onwards to town hall for a short public ceremony at 11:00AM  Photos will be taken at 11:15 AM. Those unable to make the short march from Blair Square should meet at town hall at 10:45AM.

Medway:  On Sunday November 11th, 2018  Medway would like to honor their brave veterans with a complimentary brunch on  at the Medway VFW, 123 Holliston St. Brunch will be served at 10:30 a.m..  If interested in attending, please reach out to the Senior Center at 508-533-3210. All veterans and a guest are welcome to enjoy this complimentary meal. Thank you for your service. – Medway Council on Aging.

Ashland:  On Sunday November 11th, 2018,  There will be an 11 a.m. ceremony at the American Legion James O. Carey Post 77 at 40 Summer St, Ashland, MA . 

Hopkinton:  In the evening of Nov 11, 2018:  All Hopkinton Veterans are welcome to attend the Annual Veterans Dinner on Veterans Day, at the Woodville Rod & Gun Club, 252 Wood Street, Hopkinton. Doors open at 5:00 dinner served at 6:00.  No reservation needed.  Compliments of the Hopkinton Veterans Celebration Committee of the Town of Hopkinton, MA.

Town of Holliston Tax Work Off Program for Veterans & Seniors

Please see attached application for the Tax Work Off program for the Town of Holliston. The Veteran tax work off program has increased from $1,000 to $1,500 as a result of the Brave Act signed by Governor Baker on 8/28/2018
