The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) has chose the theme of "A Year of Service" as their campaign slogan. As the five-year anniversary of the April 15th, 2013 tragedy, we are celebrating the service of first responders, alongside highlighting the contributions that the military played in the 1918 Military Relay that replaced the traditional Marathon, which was cancelled in the wake of WWI.

The BAA is recruiting veterans from the Marathon towns (We have 2 in our District!!! Hopkinton & Ashland) to participate in this year's commemorative relay.  If not passing a baton, at least rallying at the points where the baton will be passed to cheer on our local veteran participants.

Please see application form attached if interested in passing a baton in the relay (disregard deadline date).
****Please note Veterans do not have to be runners in the traditional sense, veterans are welcome to participate via wheelchair (even with a wheelchair driver).******

Thank you for all and any participation in this year's Marathon theme!
